In the winter of 2008, Pezzner took to his own studio to begin work on his first solo output composing songs that are more serious, with an abstract artistic sensibility. Quickly Dave’s catalog began to materialize with a signature sound: Lofty percussive themes with intentions to create hypnotic soundscapes for the body as well as the brain. It wasn’t long before Pezzner found his first 5 songs scooped up by London-based Freerange Records, covering the first two EP’s of his career, “Other Lover” and the epic three-part masterpiece “Almost Here.” These two EPs garnered him massive support from artists as varied as John Digweed, Laurent Garnier, Peter Kruder, Steve Bug and Ben Watt, setting up Pezzner as a producer on the rise.

The Tracks Are Alive is loaded with the kind of leftfield, organic sounding house which is at once club orientated but with enough interest and depth to keep the home listener totally absorbed. Dj Heather has become one of the Windy City’s main Dj exports. The Blackcherry label boss was named one of Chicago’s Top Forty-Five Artists alongside Kanye West, Billy Corgan and Green Velvet. Following worldwide accolades, in 2007 Om Records announced 'Summer Sessions 2' mixed by Om members DJ Heather and Onionz. In 2008 she joined fellow Om label artists Colette, Fred Everything and Andy Caldwell on the 'House of Om' tour. On his first true full length project 'It Iz What It Iz', Joshua Iz explores all of his many influences combining dubby house, downtempo, midtempo, latin, chicago jack and deep techno to create an incredible project worthy of an album debut. Joshua's collaborations with Diz and Chez Damier are definite standouts, while re-tooled and reinterpreted tracks from previous Vizual releases keep the listener engaged and engrossed without a dull moment. Included here is the massive 'Alpha & Omega' as well as house-tech crossover hit 'Flower Sparks' and these club tracks manage to not only fit seamlessly into the flow, but take on a new dimension within the project as a whole. All the tracks on 'It Iz What It Iz' were recorded in Chicago and this is evident as even the more laid back joints have a little jack going on. According to Joshua, this project is a musical bridge between where he has been and where he is going and as such, this is definitely an album you'll want to listen to all the way through - and nothing is stopping you from dancing while you do. Ken is most notorious for being a global DJ and music producer. His music has been licensed by some of House music’s greatest artists, such as Derrick Carter, Mark Farina, Miguel Migs and Jay J, DJ Heather, Olivier Desmet, Raoul Belmans. As a touring DJ, Ken frequents clubs around the globe from the Americas to Australia. His wicked downtempo and rare groove DJ sets have landed him gigs alongside such alpha artists as NERD, Common, Cyprus Hill, Mos Def and Rhazel. After a hiatus from touring to recover from deep vein thrombosis, a condition that is often associated with extensive air travel, Ken has returned stronger than ever.
