Biography
In the world of dance music production, Jay-J has forged the reputation as the producer with the "Midas touch", known for his signature 'sexy, soulful, dance floor driven' style; a blend of elements from funk, soul and disco combined with sultry vocals.

Jay-J has collaborated with many of the dance industry's top icons including Miguel Migs, Kaskade, Marques Wyatt, Halo, Julius Papp, Mark Grant and Chris Lum at Moulton Studios, one of the most respected production houses in dance music. These sessions produced some of the biggest contemporary dance world releases that also caught the attention of music professionals.

In 2003, Jay-J received a GRAMMY® nomination for his re-mix of Jill Scott's "He Loves Me". He has also re-mixed the music of other notable artists including Alicia Keys, David Gray, Lil' Kim, Koffee Brown and Donnie McClurkin. In 2006, Australian MTV asked Jay-J to perform live at the 2006 MTV Australia Video Music Awards, hosted by Ashlee Simpson, for both the Red Carpet and awards show to an estimated audience of 1.3 Billion people. Attendees included Snoop Dogg, James Blunt and Russell Crowe.

Music industry professionals and manufacturers adopted Jay-Js infectious music to showcase the hottest and newest advancements in technology. Jay-J's "Make My Heart" featuring Latrice Barnett became the soundtrack for Digidesign's ® Icon Integrated Console (2004). Apple® and Digidesign's collaboration, Motivated By Music, featured Jay-J's music as the theme for their worldwide campaign and tour that included Brazil, Mexico, Italy and the U.S.. Sony Oxford ® featured Jay-J's music as the master template to demonstrate the sonic versatility and power of their software plug-ins. Apple® enlisted Jay-J to create two original compositions for their Remix Jampack for GarageBand.

Currently, you can hear Jay-Js syndicated radio shows on XM Radio, Music Choice, Di.Fm, Energy 92.7 FM (San Francisco) and KBIG 104 FM "Thump Radio" (Los Angeles) as well as over 50 internet radio stations worldwide.

His peers consider him one of the most influential, respected and prolific individuals in the industry. As both a DJ and Producer, Jay-J has consistently generated quality like very few can. With his new label, Shifted Music, you can expect more innovative and unique productions from Jay-J.
